Garlic. Garlic contains the key ingredient allicin, which promotes overall health and increases blood flood. To get enough garlic to reap the benefits of garlic for treating ED, experts recommend eating four cloves a day. A better way to ingest allicin, however, is through a high-quality supplement.

Pistachios. Pistachios are rich in plant sterols, carotenoids, vitamin E, and arginine. As such, they help lower cholesterol and protect the heart. They are also rich in the nitric oxide producer, arginine, which relaxes vessels and improves blood flow. Studies have shown that eating three to four handfuls of pistachios a day for three weeks have resulted in better blood flow and “significantly firmer erections.”

Leafy vegetables and beets. Leafy green vegetables, such as celery and spinach, along with beets, have a high concentration of nitrates, which also open up blood vessels and increase blood flow. Many ED oral medications are based on the relaxing effects of nitrates.
